“Our boiler stopped working in the middle of January. Echelon came out the same day and had it running again within hours. Professional, honest, and fairly priced. Highly recommend!”
— Michael R., Google
No Heat or Hot Water
The most urgent boiler problem. Causes can range from thermostat issues and low pressure to failed components like the diaphragm, motorized valves, or circulation pump. We diagnose the root cause and restore your heat quickly.
Strange Noises (Kettling, Banging, Gurgling)
Noisy boilers usually indicate mineral buildup (limescale), trapped air, low water pressure, or a failing pump. Kettling—a rumbling sound like a boiling kettle—often means the heat exchanger needs attention.
Leaking or Dripping Water
Boiler leaks can stem from failed seals, corroded pipes, pressure valve issues, or a cracked heat exchanger. We identify the source and repair or replace the affected components.
Pilot Light Problems
If your pilot light keeps going out, the thermocouple may need replacement. A yellow or orange flame (instead of blue) indicates incomplete combustion and should be addressed immediately for safety.
Low Boiler Pressure
Low pressure prevents your boiler from heating effectively. Causes include water leaks, bleeding radiators, or pressure relief valve issues. We’ll restore proper pressure and fix the underlying problem.
Thermostat & Control Issues
Sometimes the problem isn’t the boiler itself but the thermostat or controls. We diagnose communication issues, calibration problems, and faulty wiring to restore proper operation.
Frozen Condensate Pipes
In cold weather, the condensate pipe can freeze, causing the boiler to shut down. We safely thaw frozen pipes and can install insulation to prevent future occurrences.
Step 1: Initial Assessment
We start by listening to your concerns and gathering information about the symptoms you’ve noticed. This helps us narrow down potential causes before we even look at the unit.
Step 2: Comprehensive Diagnostics
Our technicians perform a thorough inspection of your boiler system, checking all components, testing controls, measuring pressures, and identifying the root cause—not just the symptoms.
Step 3: Clear Explanation & Estimate
Before any work begins, we explain exactly what’s wrong, what needs to be repaired, and provide an upfront estimate. No surprises, no hidden fees.
Step 4: Professional Repair
Using quality parts and proper techniques, we complete the repair efficiently. Our technicians are trained on all major boiler brands and follow manufacturer specifications.
Step 5: Testing & Verification
After the repair, we test the entire system to verify proper operation. We check for leaks, confirm correct pressure, and ensure your home is heating properly before we leave.
Step 6: Maintenance Recommendations
We provide honest recommendations for preventive maintenance that can help you avoid future breakdowns and extend the life of your boiler.
